Timeless Reads, the Summer Reading Game for Adults 18 and Older, begins on June 16th and continues to August 16th at all branches of the Alameda County Library System.
How do I play “Timeless Reads”?
• Play June 16th – August 16th 2008.
• Read a book that you think has stood the test of time.
• Fill out an entry form for each book you read and put it in the entry box in the library.
• No limit on entries. The more you read, the better your chances of winning.
• One completed entry form will be drawn from the box each week
. Winner will receive a $15.00 gift certificate.
• Grand Prize –Bookstore gift card.

Many branch libraries will have a display of books recommended for “Timeless Reads”. These can be checked out and used to participate in the reading game. If you have always wanted to read, let’s say, ”Catcher in the Rye” or “Madame Bovary”, either of those books could be used in the game, too. A “timeless read” book is a book that you have enjoyed once and would probably enjoy reading again or would strongly recommend to someone else.
